Welcome to the YMCA's newest program in collaboration with St. Joe at their development
Summer Camp Beach
The YMCA is proud to be a part of this exciting new program and offer both traditional and outdoor environmental education opportunites to members of the St. Joe community.
The YMCA programs will be geared towards elementary age, middle school, high school as well as family activities in this picturesque preserve style setting.
Program activities will inlcude:
Water Exploration
Team Games
Campfire Programs
Nature Crafts
Native American Folklore
Nature Hikes
& many more outdoor educational activities.
(Please note this is not an all day camp program. This is an activity base age appropriate program for the specific time period. All participants must sign in and out at designated times.)
Each week Will Focus on Different Themes
Week of 7/30 - 8/3: Animals Animals Everywhere - Come learn about the diverse and abundant animal life in the coastal and upland regions of St. James Bay!
Week of 8/6 - 8/10: Plants: What good are they? Come explore with us as we learn about the many wonders of plants and how they are useful for us!
Week of 8/13 - 8/17: Native American Heritage - Florida has a rich and exciting Native American history, come learn about the first people of this area and how they lived!
Sign in at the pool area at 11 am each Wednesday, Thursday, Friday or Saturday
Bring: Towel, Swim Suit, Water Shoes or Crocs, Water Bottle and make sure to have sun screen
Sundays are 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm
Call 850-926-3361 to pre-register - Just mention that you would like to join Camp Fire Fly, the name of the specific activity, your child's name and age. Then show up at the specific time to sign them in and pick them up at sign out.
Families will have the opportunity to pre-register for fee based-scheduled activities that are age appropriate and time sensitive.
